What is Cryogenic Distillation Process for Liquid Oxygen Generation?
Oxygen is a non-metallic element that is valued for its high reactivity. On being liquefied the non-metallic element turns blue. Liquid oxygen is also known as LOX. It has a low boiling/condensing point: -297.3°F (-183°C). The element is found in abundance in planet Earth’s atmosphere constituting around 21% by volume. It is said to make up around 49.2% of Earth’s crust in the form of oxide minerals. The element is also found in biological components such as proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, and fats. It is also found in animal shells, teeth and bones.
